We take pleasure in announcing that jointly with Kellogg Brown & Root, Kellogg Brown & Root Consultancy (Malaysia) (KBR's 100%-owned local subsidiary), and OGP Technical Services (a PETRONAS' subsidiary company), JGC Corporation has been awarded a contract by Malaysia LNG Sdn. Bhd. to provide EPCM services for the rejuvenation of the MLNG plant and revamp of the MLNG and MLNG Dua plants at Bintulu, Malaysia. The following is more information on this project:

- Contract services : Engineering services plus management services for procurement and construction
- Contract form : A mixture of lump-sum and cost reimbursable

5. Outline of Project:
Covering two LNG plants, MLNG (nominal capacity of 2 million tons/year x 3 trains, constructed in 1983) and MLNG Dua (nominal capacity of 2.65 million tons/year x 3 trains, constructed in 1995) built by JGC / M. W. Kellogg (presently Kellogg Brown & Root) joint venture, this project is to provide rejuvenation and revamping services for the MLNG plant and revamping services for the MLNG Dua plant. The rejuvenation work for MLNG plant will extend its operation for another 20 years, while the revamping work will enable the two plants to handle future feedgas containing higher CO2 level.

In the selection of contractor, the client is believed to have highly evaluated the facts that the original plants are the joint work of JGC/KBR, that the two companies each are well experienced in project execution in Malaysia, that their experience covers numerous revamping projects of similar kinds, and that the two companies' joint work boasts very smooth performance worldwide.
