JGC takes pleasure in announcing that jointly with JGC Arabia Ltd., its Saudi Arabian subsidiary has been awarded, by Saudi Arabian Oil Company, Saudi Arabia's state-owned oil and gas company, a contract for a large-size gas treatment plant, and signed on December 11, 2000.
Awarded in 1983 the first contract for a sulfur recovery unit at the Ras Tanura Refinery, JGC has already been successful in winning 6 contracts from Saudi Aramco, including contracts for one projects presently in progress, and the newly awarded project is the 7th. Good performance in past projects, and highly-evaluated technology and competitive cost are considered to have resulted in being awarded the contract for the new project.

6. Project Outline:
In Saudi Arabia, there is a growing demand for fuel gas for power generation, feed gas for chemical industries, and so on. Saudi Aramco, therefore, is putting a gas production/supply facility expansion plan named "Master Gas System Expansion (MGSE)" into effect, aimed at establishing a gas supply system to fully meet the growing demand. This Haradh Gas Plant Project is to be implemented as a part of MGSE, consisting of two packages, Processing Facilities and Utilities and Offsites Facilities. A bid was invited for each package, and JGC won the contract for the "Gas Processing Facilities".
JGC hopes to be further successful in winning contracts in the Middle East, while maintaining the chose business association with Saudi Aramco, established through continuous project execution in Saudi Arabia.
