JGC and QUERY SOLUTIONS have signed an agreement to work together on facility management (FM) business-related software development and sales. The partnership calls for QUERY SOLUTIONS to develop computer-aided facility management (CAFM) system software, and for JGC to sell the software mainly to its clients. JGC will encourage its clients to use the CAFM system in their facilities constructed by JGC. The two companies are cooperating in gathering initial maintenance data, and will continue through regular maintenance and updating of the facilities. This is the model for a new type of FM service business. The combined sales of FM system software in 2001 by the two companies totaled approximately US$ 2.5 million.

While facility management is becoming increasingly complex requiring advanced technologies, there is also a demand for streamlining and labor reduction. The CAFM system allows users to streamline FM jobs and share information easily.

QUERY SOLUTIONS Co., Ltd. is an IT venture business which provides FM consultation and system design and implementation services, with the 'WHERE'S' system, a CAFM software, at its core.
