Yokohama, Japan – JGC Corporation announced today that it has received notification from Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) of termination of the Letter of Intent issued in 2008 for EPC Package No. 1 of the New Refinery Project, in Al-Zour, Kuwait, being jointly carried out with GS Engineering & Construction (GS), Korea.

The remaining contract value of approximately two hundred and thirty (230) billion Japanese yen will be deducted from the company's current outstanding contracts.
