Layout engineering is the engineering work performed to
attain a rational workspace that provides functionality, flexibility and
economy for food plants. It requires that layout be optimized by analyzing
the flow of personnel and materials within a plant, while understanding
distribution needs and budget, and at the same time selecting and arranging
production equipment with a view to maintaining flexibility for future expansion
and remodeling. Layout engineering is a key area in which JGC can demonstrate
its high level engineering capabilities. JGC integrates a variety of technologies
in the planning of production facilities, including HACCP-related, construct
ability plan and environmental considerations, performed by experienced
specialist engineers, in order to attain totally optimized layout engineering.
