The Construction Management System (CMS) is utilized in the construction phase and has an optimum interface with the 3D data and detailed design data generated by Engineering Dept., and the P.O. data generated by Procurement Dept. so that it enables the efficient utilization of the data while maintaining the continuity between each phase. CMS subsystems consist of material management, welding inspection management, construction work status and progress management, and manpower management in order to be able to grasp and evaluate complicated construction situations. The enormous amount of data managed by CMS needs to be uploaded and downloaded correctly and speedily daily during the construction phase and this requires speed by the engineer and operator assigned to each subsystem. Such information is distributed to the construction management staff timely, and the client as well as subcontractors can share the information, which can be utilized efficiently in every possible aspect. JGC's construction management staff evaluate the CMS system regularly, based on extensive achievements in project implementation, to ensure it continues to provide efficient on-site management support. CMS is a critical system that supports construction management and is considered a must for the success of any project. |
