In order to avoid the occurrence of accidents or hazards
during construction work, JGC gives due and careful consideration to
the safety, health, and administrative environmental standards provided
by the customer at the inquiry stage of the new project, and executes
the construction work in compliance with the safety standards required
by OSHA. By reflecting the results of the considerations and discussions
in the construction plan, we carry out our on-site safety management
to the satisfaction of our customers. We have completed numerous construction
projects without any accident or hazard, and have received many safety
awards from our customers. The global trend in construction work now
is to carry out environmental management based on ISO 14001 (Environmental
Management System) and safety and health management based on OHSAS 18001
(Occupational Safety and Health Management System) so as to achieve construction
work free from accident or hazard. JGC aims at combining these two management
systems with ISO 9001:2000 (Quality Management System 2000) for the establishment
of a total management system of engineering and construction that can
thoroughly satisfy Quality, Environment, and Health and Safety issue
requirements.
