gLess-Sulfur-Emissionsh Technology for Natural Gas Plant
This technology enables less sulfur emissions from natural gas processing or liquefaction plants, as applicable for natural gas rich in such acid gases as, carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), and mercaptans (RSH).

Features
  • Designed to be particularly applicable for mercaptan-rich natural gas, this process recovers sulfur compounds in an elemental sulfur form with a high efficiency.
  • Sulfur-compounds removal rate jumps to 97-98%, in contrast to 95% by conventional processes.
  • This process produces 40-60% less sulfur emissions than conventional processes do.
  • Use of a highly active catalyst enables the converting of mercaptans (RSH) into H2S at a high conversion rate.

Applications
  • When applied for natural gas particularly rich in mercaptans, this process enables a large reduction in sulfur emissions compared with conventional processes.

Experience
  • Ras Laffan LNG Plant (No.1/No.2) in Qatar.
