Throughout its history, JGC has developed its own process technologies,
including a wide range of constituent engineering technologies.
JGC has also incorporated and applied these technologies
in various types of plants that it has constructed.

Now, in keeping with the business domain expansion strategy laid out
in the new medium-term management plan "New Horizon 2015," JGC is also engaged in the development of
new clean energy, such as synthesis of DME from a natural gas or ethanol from biomass feedstock,
as well as other environmentally-friendly technologies such as CO2 capture and storage facilities, etc.
JGC aims not only to pursue its own effort toward technology development,
but is also seeking opportunities develop innovative new technologies jointly with outside partners.
