Throughout its history, JGC has developed its own process technologies,
including a wide range of constituent engineering technologies,
and has applied these technologies in the various types of plants
which JGC has constructed in the past.

Now, in keeping with the business domain expansion strategy described in our
new medium-term management plan, "Scenario 2010", we are also actively engaged in the creation of
new clean energy, such as DME or ethanol using natural gas or biomass as feedstock and
the development of other global-environment-friendly technologies,
typified by CO2 recovery and underground storage.
JGC aims not only to pursue its own efforts toward technology development but is also seeking opportunities to challenge the development of novel future technologies jointly with outside partners.
