| The business has acquired an existing power and desalination plant with a capacity of 1000 MW and 95 MIGD in Taweelah Complex (about 80km northeast of Abu Dhabi city), and to construct, own and operate a new 1000 MW and 65MIGD power and desalination plant. Upon the completion of the new plant, the business will operate the Taweelah B plant with a total capacity of 2000 MW and 160 MIGD over 20 years. |

| The business involves constructing and operating a plant to supply 360 MW of power, 5,580 tons/hour of water, and 1,230 tons/hour of steam to the world’s largest petroleum refining and petrochemicals complex which is being jointly developed by Sumitomo Chemical Company Ltd. and Saudi Aramco (a Saudi Arabia state-owned oil company) in the Rabigh region on the Red Sea coastline of Saudi Arabia. Upon the completion of plant construction, the project company will operate the plant for 25 years. JGC has a 25% equity interest in the project company. |

| The Taweelah A2 IWPP (Independent Water & Power Project) is located in the Taweelah district of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The facilities consist of power and desalination units, with a present capacity of 710 MW of electricity and 50 MIGD of water. In consideration of environmental conservation and improved energy efficiency, the plant is equipped with gas turbine combined-cycle units. JGC joins this Project in 2008, and will contribute to the IWPP business through our long accumulated engineering expertise. |
