Business Outline In 2005, in the Taweelah region of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi (80 km northeast of Abu Dhabi city), JGC, together with other sponsors, acquired a power generation and desalination complex with an original capacity of 1 million kW and 45,000 tons of water per day. JGC expanded its capacity by adding another complex on the site with a 1 million kW combined-cycle power generation facility and another desalination facility with a capacity of 30,000 tons of water per day, for a total capacity of 2 million kW and 75,000 tons of water. The new complex, which was completed in 2008, contains cutting-edge high-efficiency combined cycle power generation facilities which place a lighter burden on the environment.
