In April of 2010, JGC and Mitsubishi Corporation each acquired a 33.3% share in Ebara Engineering Services, formerly a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ebara Corporation, a water business pioneer. Ebara Engineering Services has a proud record of domestic water treatment and sewage facility construction projects, as well as large-scale operation and maintenance (O&M) experience. The new jointly-owned company will benefit from Ebara Corporation's experience with water treatment and water-related O&M, Mitsubishi Corporation's global network and business management expertise, and JGC's global engineering knowledge and project management skills, to become an integrated water business enterprise that can contribute to solving the world's water problems through infrastructure, water supply, and water purification projects.
