In February 2012, we invested in Granpa Co., Ltd., a venture company specializing in the development and marketing of air-dome type greenhouses (plant factories) for the indoor cultivation of fresh vegetables, as well as the sale of fresh produce grown in such greenhouses.

By coupling Granpa Co.'s advanced plant factory technology with JGC's wide-ranging expertise in engineering, we hope to further improve the efficiency of air-dome greenhouses, and promote and expand this new method of industrial agriculture.

In the future, drawing on JGC's rich experience in overseas projects and business development, we plan to introduce our package greenhouse systems to the global market, to make a tangible contribution toward solving the problem of worldwide food shortage.
